ID THEFT

3 Questions in this collection

Identity theft is when your personal information is stolen and used to commit fraud.

Identity thieves can use your name, address, birthday, identity number, bank account details and numbers and credit reports to commit all types of crimes.

Identity thieves can use your identity number to apply for employment to obtain a drivers license, to open an account or even to get a loan from the bank.

If your personal information is used, you will then be held liable for any monies owed and the debts can be recorded on the credit bureau register therefore affecting you personal credit rating.

This means that you may not be able to get financing for that new vehicle that you want or your dream home
